Imagine you were in a situation where you couldn’t get out of someone’s grip. Then karate is for you. Karate teaches self defense and how to one day save your life. People should do karate because you get a fun experience out of it. You will feel so proud of yourself when you earn a new belt, and learn a new form. There are many great places all around the world that anyone can go to when they want to learn karate. Karate is an awesome sport!

Belts, Belts, Galore

Earning a new belt is so much fun. The order of the belts is white which is the lowest, then yellow, orange, purple, blue, green, brown, and black, which is the highest. Each time you go to earn a new belt it gets harder. That happens because you have to learn different moves that are more challenging to get the belt. The more moves you learn, the more advanced you will become in the class.

Earning new belts is very enjoyable, but learning new forms is even better. The order of the forms from easiest to hardest, can get confusing at times. Pinion 1 is the easiest and first form you will learn. As you go up in the forms, the forms will get harder and harder. Pinion 2 is the next one, then Kata 1, Kata 2, Movements of the Crane, and so on. Many of the forms are very interesting in their own way, such as Movements of the Crane. It has many different and intriguing movements to it, such as hand motions and leg movements. It’s not just learning new moves, it is also having a good time. Learning new forms gives you an amazing experience.

Earning respect can be very easy if you are a good listener and student. If you earn respect from the teacher, you will get more opportunities in the class. When you earn appreciation from your classmates, they will look up to you as a role model. Another reason why earning a new belt is fun, is because everyone is watching you and you are so excited. Also, you are getting closer to having the highest rank in the class. As you level up you will earn a higher responsibility over the class. Also, the younger students who are not as ranked as you will look up to you. When you are a higher ranking, you are expected to do the right thing all the time. The expectation is that you should do as you are told and be a great listener. If the sensei is not in the room and no one is doing anything, you can take charge and start class. A sensei is the teacher in the class. Getting a new belt is rewarding.

Places to go, and Places to See

Besides earning new belts and learning new forms, there are many great places to go learn karate. I recommend going to Rocky DiRico’s School of Kenpo Karate. The owner of Rocky DiRico’s School of Kenpo Karate has two places where you can go, one in Arlington and one in Natick. Another good place you can go is American Martial Arts Center in Cambridge. American Cadre Karate is located in Kingston. One other place you can go is Personal Best, which is located in Medfield. Another excellent place is Rocky Silva’s American Karate in Seekonk. There are many other great places you can go to learn karate.

Earning new belts, learning new forms, and many places to go is all why karate is so amusing. Earning a new belt is really exciting. Also, learning new forms will help you to have an awesome experience. Each place you can go to learn karate is different. You get a great experience out of karate. Karate is an awesome sport!
